Upstairs on 7th: Here Comes the Sun: Finally!!

Hi Everyone!

Finally a sunny day! And Katy is back from Paris so we are all good!

We have so many new things in the store that we cannot wait for you to see including the new Rundholz that came in late last week, the Amma that arrived and some beautiful new scarves from Abstract including a shrug that is perfect indoors or out. We love the new coats from Rundholz for sure. And we are lamenting that we didn’t buy one for ourselves. It is as warm as we need to be in DC where it is not quite as cold as other cities.

Ray Harris is making his airline reservation today but he is for sure going to be in the store on Wednesday, November 9th through Saturday, November 12th. The vests are being finished as we speak. To those of you who ordered them we cannot thank you enough for your patience. They will be worth the wait we assure you.

If anyone is looking for a bank to do business with, either personally or for your business, we found out the hard way during Covid that a big bank like Wells Fargo is not the best for small businesses. Sandy Spring Bank, right next door to us, a regional bank, has turned out to be so great that we are so glad we switched. You will be too.

New stationery and the beautiful gift wrap books along with new candles are in the store for gift giving to yourself and others. Perfect hostess gifts for the holidays.

I read Gina’s book last week and it is really good. The whole story about how she started her business, how she hired many people recovering from addiction and how she helped them build a new life sober is really a very heartfelt read. Talk about hard working? WOW is she ever!

So let us know if you will be joining us on Thursday, October 13th for a book signing for her book Recovery Hardware. We will have copies in the store or if you have already bought it bring your copy with you. We will start at 5:30 with champagne and some snacks while you meet the author.
