Upstairs on 7th: Best Clothes As We Countdown to Ray!

Hi Everyone!

Before we get to all of the details about the Ray show, some highlights of what has come into the store since we last wrote you!

Our Comme des Garcons delivery arrived yesterday and there are some really special pieces. The wonderful thing about this line is how timeless it is and yet at the same time how modern and forward it is. We love seeing how you incorporate these gorgeous items into your wardrobes and your personal style!

In case you didn’t see them on our show last week, we now have two lengths of Ray Harris’ vests in stock (for the moment, anyway). We have a beautiful selection of colors all of which look great with black (c’mon ladies, a little color is a good thing)! They have a little bit of padding, so they make a great layer during this transitional part of the season, and just like the rest of Ray’s clothes they fold down into a tiny ball and are machine washable, making them perfect for travel and your work bag. Put over a matching dress you already have makes them the perfect piece to wear for work or play.
Ray Harris, will be in the store on Wednesday, November 9th through Saturday, November 12th. Join us for champagne, cheese and chocolates every day as we look at all of Ray’s beautiful spring 2023 items including some fabulous cotton dresses, tops and jackets. If you have a special occasion coming soon this would be your chance to get something custom made in any of his many colors and styles. As usual we can hardly wait! We have lots of surprises for this show, including some priced to sell pieces from Ray’s archives, so you really do not want to miss this one! Don’t forget to bring any pieces you need altered.

Here are some of Ray’s new cotton pieces. I have had the black dress for a few years and if nothing else it will make you look like you have lost ten pounds! They are very lightweight and come in lots of colors.

We are so excited to tell you that we have a new gorgeous conference room right across from the store with lots of chairs and tables and a catering kitchen. Because we can seat more people with lots of space in between we can start our speaker series again and we intend to do just that! It was our favorite event and the one we missed the most after we were allowed to reopen after covid began. Even though we have been back so long our space is not big enough to accommodate lots of people and space out while we respect the virus that still lurks. Always safety first.

If there is anyone who you think a wide range of people would love to hear from let us know.

There are lots of new gifts in the store and lots more coming. If you see something you like, come get it or let us know, because we will most likely not be able to get any reorders before the holidays. Supply chain…you know…

And now for our memes!
Can anyone guess where this meme comes from:
Here is one we ran before but it bears repeating!
We are here 11-5 Monday through Friday and 1-5 on Saturday, although we are always happy to stay late just in case you are finally back downtown and not working in your pjs. Or FaceTime us.

You can see us on our Upstairs on 7th Facebook page for our Tuesday and Friday videos of everything in the store or catch us on Instagram to see our What Would Ricki wear posts. Our handle is @upstairson7th.

Have a great rest of the week and we will see you soon!
