Tomorrow and Thursday Leslie will be here from Planet and there are lots of new styles that you will want for fall. The gabardine suits are especially good for work but of course they have a twist and are a little more fashionable than a regular suit. And they actually WILL take you out to dinner! I especially love the gab jacket that looks like a man’s tuxedo jacket. In gab of course it is not as dressy but it looks important. Perfect when you have to run over to the White House to meet with the President! Leslie’s train gets in at 11:30 so she will be here soon after and she will be here until at least 7. On Thursday she will be here until 5. Even if you do not need anything but have questions on how to style the pieces you already have, no one is better at it than she is. And you never know when she will let you buy one of her samples!!<\/p>\n

Niche has arrived and it is fantastic. I have to say the prices are amazing: $120-$145 with great shapes and so comfortable. Tops, skirts, cardigans. If you do not mind seams showing which I actually love, you can reverse the pieces. All black and gray and really wonderful. There are some great black and gray striped shirts and white ones too. They look like Dress to Kill, only inexpensive. Love that.<\/p>\n

I SHOULD have the Rundholz in this week and I actually thought it would be today but any day now. Or so they say. You are welcome to email and check with me but it won’t be today so you do not have to worry. Kedem shows up next week and everyday there are lots of other lines coming in. Peter Mahler is in and there are some great jackets in navy and some others in black and navy, my most favorite combination. <\/p>\n

I bought FABULOUS jewelry in New York on Sunday which will be in soon. I will of course keep you posted. <\/p>\n

The last pieces of the summer are on sale for 50% off now and you know I do not mark them down past that so come soon. Also there is some jewelry and lots of socks as it seems I am the only one who loves them.<\/p>\n

Ok, so this has made me laugh since Friday. It is a grandchild story but it does have a funny life lesson. I say this as a warning as some of you are sick of my little grandchild stories I am sure. We were at dinner with our little granddaughter Dylan and my husband finished eating and so did she so he asked her if she wanted to go get ice cream. She is still at that age when she wants her parents to come too but they were still eating. So she declined. When we walked out she said she wanted to go get the ice cream but her father said no, that they no longer had time and that she had declined. Of course she got a little upset and he asked her how she felt. She said she felt bad. He said, “Well the feeling you are having right now is called REGRET.” He told her to get used to it as she was going to have a lot of it in her lifetime. It totally has me STILL cracked up. Unfortunately, it is so true. <\/p>\n
