Hope you are all staying warm because this cold is a little brutal.\u00a0 Thanks to everyone who has been ignoring this weather and shopping for all the great spring clothes we have in the stores.\u00a0 I really appreciate it.<\/p>\n

Before I begin my ranting and raving about the Oscars, here is the information on the upcoming Ray Harris and Anarkh shows.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Ray will be here\u00a0on Thursday at noonish<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and then we need a little bit of time to set up so I would say if you get here after one we will be all ready to go. Anyone that wants a beautiful dress, jacket, skirt or pant for a special occasion, this is the designer to see. He is also bringing clothes for day and his beautiful crepe pieces too. \u00a0Available in lots of colors, his clothes are just fabulous. \u00a0There is one new dress in particular that is so beautiful I probably will get one to wear to a family wedding in the fall myself.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
We will be open until 7\u00a0on Thursday<\/span><\/span>\u00a0so if you want to come over after work please do. Of course we will be serving champagne. \u00a0Friday<\/span><\/span>\u00a0we will be here from 11-6 or until the last person leaves and\u00a0Saturday<\/span><\/span>\u00a0we are going to start early. Mimosas at ten and Ray will be here until 2. \u00a0So plan to come if you have never had the opportunity to meet the nicest guy ever with the most beautiful clothes. You can choose the length of the dress, the kind of sleeve, the neckline, etc. And the 30 available colors are gorgeous. \u00a0And best of all, you can actually EAT in his clothes!<\/p>\n

On\u00a0Tuesday, March 3rd<\/span><\/span>\u00a0the girls from Anarkh will be in the store all day to show you their fall line.\u00a0 I just saw it and I think you will love it.\u00a0 They do make gorgeous clothes!<\/div>\n

And now for the Oscars.<\/div>\n

How many of you called your parent (if you are lucky to have one) after J.K Simmons won? \u00a0I did although now that I think about it, MY kids did NOT call me! What the heck? \u00a0Ok, Katy and Kenny you are both grounded for a week!<\/div>\n

Here are some other parts I liked:<\/div>\n

I loved John Legend and Common singing Glory. \u00a0So beautiful. Here is something I found out about John Legend recently. \u00a0He was accepted to Harvard and Penn when he was only 16 years old. \u00a0He went to Penn because it had a better music department. \u00a0What a voice. \u00a0I thought he and his wife looked great.<\/p>\n

I also loved Lady Gaga singing the songs from The Sound of Music, a movie I have seen about a million times and Julie Andrews looked so beautiful. Lady Gaga’s dress had the most gorgeous fabric. \u00a0The one she wore on the red carpet, not the one she kept tossing around as she sang. Her voice is so beautiful.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Admit it, if those weird red cleaning gloves were not there, you would love this dress.<\/div>\n

There were some amazing speeches this year. \u00a0I loved the<\/div>\n
speech by Patricia Arquette as did Meryl Streep and every woman in the room. She talked about equal pay for women and you couldn’t help but think that many women in that room including our most celebrated actor, Meryl Streep, have been paid less than the men doing the same work in the same movie.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
The speech by Graham Moore about being different was very touching as was the speech by the woman who won for best documentary short when she spoke about her son’s suicide when he was 15 years old. We sure need mental health help in this country.<\/div>\n

And I loved how thrilled Eddie Redmayne was. \u00a0I loved The Theory of Everything and he was wonderful in it. The dress that Felicity Jones wore was very pretty I think.\u00a0 The color was beautiful and her eyes looked great too.<\/p>\n

Oh, how mad was Oprah Winfrey at Neil Patrick Harris when he was talking to David Oyelowo? \u00a0If looks could kill. \u00a0And how fantastic was the magic trick that NHP did at the end with his predictions? \u00a0I forgot that he does magic. \u00a0Talk about talented. And gutsy walking out in his underwear.<\/p>\n

It was terrible that they left Joan Rivers off the In Memoriam segment because even though she was only in a few movies she made the Red Carpet an entertainment program so much so that ABC did an hour and a half red carpet show instead of their usual one hour this year.\u00a0 They sell a lot of commercials for that.\u00a0 And make a lot of money.<\/p><\/div>\n

Ok, more clothes. One of my favorites is the same one every year: Cate Blanchette. \u00a0The necklace was amazing. \u00a0And her skin just kills me it is so gorgeous. \u00a0Doesn’t it look like a necklace from U7?<\/p>\n

I thought Emma Stone looked fantastic. \u00a0The color was great on her and she looked like she was going to the Oscars.<\/p>\n

I loved Viola Davis’ dress and no, I am STILL not over her not winning an Oscar for The Help.<\/p>\n

I thought Lupita knocked it out of the park again with that gorgeous gown made of 6,000 pearls. \u00a0She is so stunning.<\/p>\n

I loved Naomi Watts in this dress and also the yellow dress she wore to the Golden Gloves BUT Rita Ora wore the Bulgari necklace that Naomi wore to the Golden Globes. \u00a0Somewhere there is a stylist in trouble.<\/p>\n

I was not that crazy about Julianne Moore’s dress. \u00a0It looked like little bugs were the trim. \u00a0But I am so glad she won after being nominated five times.\u00a0 And she really doesn’t look that good in white.\u00a0 She should have worn the green dress from the Golden Globes or a gold dress to match her statuette.<\/p>\n

I did like Jennifer Lopez’s dress but really she is so stunning that I do not think she has to wear such low cut clothes all the time. \u00a0It is really getting old. Jennifer Aniston wore a beige dress also but it wasn’t nearly as pretty and she was too pale.<\/p>\n

Speaking of PALE, memo to Reese Witherspoon: remember how pretty you looked with LIPSTICK on at the Golden Globes? \u00a0Seriously your natural look was so natural that your skin didn’t look as pretty. \u00a0Very very dull I thought.\u00a0 Here she is talking to Robin Roberts who looked phenomenal.<\/p>\n

And my fave Kerry Washington loved her dress because she said it was comfortable but I thought it was really blah and also she wears white every week on Scandal so I think she should wear a different color in real life.<\/p>\n

Jared Leto. \u00a0OMG. \u00a0Nothing more to say about that!<\/p>\n

I am so glad that Patricia Arquette won but her dress looked like she was wearing a big bandage.\u00a0 I would add that she probably should have known that the director of Boyhood is Richard LinkLATER not LinkLETTER.\u00a0 She was nervous I think.\u00a0 I wish he would have won for best director because what he did was interesting.\u00a0 And it was a really good movie.\u00a0 12 years is real dedication.<\/p>\n

Did\u00a0 you see the dress that Robert Duvall’s wife was wearing?\u00a0 It looked like Jlo’s but a coral and gold color.\u00a0 Beautiful.\u00a0 Jennifer Hudson was sitting in the front row in a yellow dress that was really good.\u00a0 And ok, I hate to get into trouble with Oprah because well she is Oprah, but her dress was too tight and not a great color.\u00a0 Let’s just all agree that the only movie star that looks good in that pale beige is Nicole Kidman.\u00a0 Everyone else, trust me, don’t get that color.<\/p>\n

If Zoe Zaldana had taken the spaghetti straps off her dress it would have made the difference between great and not so great.<\/p>\n

Another dress I LOVED was Margot Robbie’s.\u00a0 She looked amazing.\u00a0 The jewelry and her hair and makeup.\u00a0 Everything.\u00a0 She may be my winner for the night.<\/p>\n

This is Rosamund Pike and I think I looked just like that right after I had a baby too.\u00a0 NOT.\u00a0 Stunning.\u00a0 Very Oscar worthy dress.\u00a0 Again, not like Anna Kendrick’s.

And last but not least is Dakota Johnson.\u00a0 I thought she looked just the way she should: young and very pretty.\u00a0 If you look you will see her mother Melanie Griffith in the background who came as her date.\u00a0 There is a picture of them on the internet if you want to see it when Melanie took Dakota to the Oscars when she was a little girl.\u00a0 Full circle.<\/p>\n

As you can see the pictures are from my television screen so that is why they are not as good as usual.\u00a0 But I just found out that even if it is on the internet I am not allowed to use the pictures.\u00a0 So any that you want to see go to E News as they have everyone.\u00a0 Feel free to email me with all your opinions.<\/p>\n

Another award season is over and it has been really fun sending you all the news.\u00a0 I am just glad I don’t have to go on television in front of people from over 100 countries and be criticized by people like me. \u00a0 All in fun people, all in fun.\u00a0 And really, sorry Oprah.<\/p>\n
