I just got back from New York to buy SPRING which was not easy since I am so into fall right now but I did my best getting you all the fabulous things I saw. Ok, not ALL of it was so fab, but I think it will be wonderful. I got lots of new lines too so I cannot wait for you to see them.
Ok, down to business. Just in case you have been on another planet for the last month, the POPE is coming to DC! Just in time for Yom Kippur I might add. (I invited him to break the fast but he said he was busy.) The worst day is going to be tomorrow but since there is a God it is Yom Kippur and we are closed anyway. I will be atoning all day and I need every minute of it.
Ray Harris AND Annemieke will be here Thursday and the building is going to be fully open by around 12 noon BUT you can still get in through Celadon or Potbelly or the 12th Street side until then. They are putting a guard at the door so all you have to do is say you are coming here. The reason for the guard is that there are going to be tons of pedestrians walking to see the Pope and they don’t want all those people doing a short cut through the building. They are going to treat it as if there is an inauguration going on. The city is equipped for that so I don’t think these three days are going to be as bad as it will be for say Philadelphia. The metro is adding tons of cars so it will be very easy to get down here by train. You get off at Metro Center and go out the F and 12th Street exit. He is leaving our area around 2 to go to the airport so we are totally clear after that and we will stay open until the last person leaves so if that is 9 at night it is 9 at night. Do not be afraid. You will not miss the show. Plus we are here on Friday and Saturday as well. We will be here late on Friday too so come after work for these fantastic lines and champagne.
Ray is bringing pieces that we have not had before and some that he made just for us. On his line for spring he has the most gorgeous lace jackets. They work over his dresses too for a different look. Worth coming just for those and he has wonderful black and white checked and plaid pieces that everyone loved and RED patterned pieces that are very nice. Of course he is bringing all his special occasion dresses that can be ordered in any color. Annemieke has done a ton of new colors, some lovely vests and scarfs and some new shapes that people went overly insane about. Her booth was like a feeding frenzy. She was a wreck! Sometimes you CAN be too busy.

Moyuru is here. It is really gorgeous and it was equally gorgeous for spring. If you like Moyuru you will not want to miss this season or next.
I am so sorry that I cannot send more pictures today but we are so busy getting everything ready for the show. I promise next time I will send a bunch. Ok, all you out of towners who I KNOW are going to email me for Moyuru pictures let me tell you that we did not buy any dresses, only tops, pants, and jackets. But not the great long coat everyone keeps emailing me, you know who you are, because it was not lined and it was very itchy. We do not do itchy here.
